How do you get the fic to show up as a fill if there are already replies to the prompt? I put my title in the subject line but it didn't show up.

cheers!

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the subject line doesn't display? If so, that's because the new comment pages on LJ don't display subject lines.

If you mean something else, could you elaborate a little? Do you mean the comment doesn't display at all, or...?

In my format, the comments in the thread still show a subject line but it says "no subject" which is pretty frustrating since the blue box does show the subject line when you expand the thread. I am sure no one will see my fic as it just looks like the fourth comment in a thread, and I can't edit my first reply since the OP already responded to it.

I know you mods have to work around LJ being annoying -- I was just checking to see if there is something I am missing about how to best alert people to my Fill.

Here is the thread in question:

Okay I tried posting a comment using my lj's layout (which has subject lines) on this post and you're right, they don't show up when the threads are collapsed. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure this is the case for any community where the community itself is using the new comment pages (which D/RF is ( ... )

Thanks very much for investigating-- I don't have any faith in my own LJ-fu so I really appreciate your looking into it.

... and what a racket, if they are making us pay extra for a basic functionality of comment threads!!

We haven't decided on one yet, but we usually let them run for about a month or so! And even then, feel free to fill prompts!
