Nino dragged Jun and Ohno to the conference room, where they were having a meeting on one of their shows, as well as planning their next concert tour. He did not drop either Jun or Ohno’s hands as they worked their way through the agency, and no one gave them second glanced. Nino was known to be especially handsy, and this was Arashi, so it was not unusual to see someone being molested by a member of the group.

“This doesn’t change anything, does it?” Nino gripped each of their hands tighter, and Jun laughed, stopping, and pulling the others to a stand still.

“Have you been thinking that all this time, since I told you?” Jun asked, softly, and Nino hesitated a moment, before nodding. “It hasn’t changed anything in all these years Nino.” Jun looked to Ohno who hmmed his agreement before he also spoke.

“Arashi is no Arashi without Ohnmiya SK.” His words were soft, and Jun laughed, nodding his agreement.

“You can still grope Riida, and cling to him, and me, and it doesn’t change a thing. Stop being an idiot, alright? You are always our friend, and we like things just the way they are.” Jun cuffed Nino’s head lightly, and the younger cried out with an indignant ‘hey!’ It was there, laughing in the hallway, hands entwined, that Sho found them. His irritation was obvious.

“We have been waiting for you three so we could start the meeting for over twenty minutes.” He looked to Jun, his gaze disapproving. “It is not like you to shirk your duty like this, Jun.” He scolded, and Jun tensed, looking evenly at Sho.

“I had some personal matters that I was dealing with. If it was an issue, you could have called my phone, I would have answered.” Jun pushed past Sho, pulling Nino, and my association Ohno with him.

“You didn’t answer yesterday. I am quite sure that you are avoiding me” Sho muttered at they passed and Jun could feel Nino’s grip on his hand tighten.

“I didn’t not answer last night because-“ Jun stopped. “I am not having this conversation now.  I don’t want to have it later, but I doubt you will let it drop.” Jun sighed. “I don’t want to fight with you, Sho-kun, but you are making it impossible.” Jun started moving, pulling the others with him, and he could not help but smile at the way that Nino pressed himself into his side as they walked. The physical comfort was nice, and glancing at Ohno, he could see the set of the others man’s jaw, the resolution in his eyes.

“You don’t have to, if you don’t wish to, Jun.” Ohno mumbled, and Nino nodded his agreement as Jun steered them into the conference room, not moving from his side as Jun bowed, offering his apologies for their tardiness. Sho followed a few moments later, settling into a chair between Ohno and Aiba. Jun sat with Nino on the other side of the table, and as they prepared to start Sho watched the younger pain.

Nino was bent over Jun’s wrist, his fingers tracing along the dark blue leather cuff that Jun wore. Sho was certain that it was new, or at least new to them, as he had never seen Jun wear those particular cuffs before. Has much as he did not want to admit it, he spent a lot of time studying Jun, what the wore, what he liked, who he hung out with. Which is why he found it so hard to believe that Jun was dating anyone, and had been for years. Surely they would have noticed. Or Jun would have let something slip. He was a private person, but this, this was impossible to believe. As it was Ohno’s words echoed in his head.

After what you did to Jun all those years ago, you are fortunate that all you got was a polite refusal. He remembered Jun confessing. He remembered snapping at the younger man, and the shock on the others face. Jun had withdrawn from him after that, which was what he had asked, but Sho could not recall what he said. It was a time that he tried not ot think about much, as he had been not nice to many people then, taking his stress out in the form of his temper on his friends, mostly his band mates. But what could he have said that would merit such a response? And why would Ohno know about that conversation? Of all the people that Jun would tell, it seemed more likely that he would tell Nino. They were closer in age, Nino actually held his own in a conversation. You could tell when his attention would begin to wander. Nothing made sense anymore. It was like everything that he had known about Jun was a lie.

Jun could feel the attention of the other side of the table on him throughout the meeting. Sho was studying him, as if searching for answers. Aiba was looking at him with large watery eyes that spoke of sadness and betrayal, and hurt, and Jun made certain that he did not look at the animal lover for too long. It was hard to concentrate knowing that Aiba was hurting because of him. Ohno was slumped down in his chair, a sleepy look on his face as usual, but Jun could feel the gentle tap of the elders foot against his under the table, and knew that Ohno was watching him. The older man usually did, watching, observing, and making sure that Jun was alright.

Nino on the other hand, made certain that he was always touching Jun, a hand on his arm, hands entwined even as they both took notes. When the weight of the others gazes would become too much, Nino would lean over and whisper snarky comments in Jun’ ear, even as Ohno’s foot tapped against his under the table, occasionally rubbing a socked foot (since getting dirt smudges from his shoe on Jun’s pants would be a bad thing) against his leg. Reminding him, each in their own way, that they were there for Jun.

Jun was surprised that they got anything planned for the concert, and for their variety shows. The mood in the room was odd, Jun and Nino were the only ones that were actually contributing to the concert planning. They did not expect Ohno to contribute, he never did during these meetings, but usually Sho had a suggestion, if nothing else objecting to some of the arial wire work. But Nino had suggested it, Jun had expanded upon it, and Sho had just nodded, agreeing.

There would be hell to pay later, but the smile on Nino’s face, the enjoyment in his eyes, the slight gleam of something that Jun could only denote as satisfaction (perhaps this was Nino’s form of revenge?), made it so Jun did not want to tone it down, this time at least.

As the staff dispersed the band hung around the conference room. They had about an hour before their next assignment, a photo shoot that they would be picked up outside the studio for, and so they had some time to relax. Jun allowed Nino to pull him up towards the door.

“Come on, you are buying me lunch.” He smiles as Jun nodded, patting his pocket to make sure that he had his wallet, and Jun was not surprised to see Aiba following them.

“Come on, Jun will buy you lunch too.” Nino smirked as Jun sighed, but did not say no, and Aiba hurried to stand beside them, walking with them for a ways. He did not say anything, walking in silence, which was unusual for the taller man. Suddenly he paused, and tugged both into their green room, closing the door behind them and leaning against it, his eyes serious.

“Oh-chan said-“ Aiba started, looking from Jun to Nino with narrowed eyes. Something about the way that Nino was clinging to Jun was different that day. Jun was allowing it more that he usually did. “I was worried when you did not answer your phone last night.” Aiba started again, running a hand through his hair. “I thought that you would be happy that Sho-chan liked you back.” His words were straightforward, and Jun could hear the hesitation in the others voice. Perhaps he should not be talking with Jun about this in front of Nino, but Nino had been there last night, when Sho had come out very upset his present still in hand, with the shocking news that Jun had refused it, and him.

“Was I wrong? I just wanted you to be happy, it’s why when Sho-chan realized, I urged him to confess.” Aiba’s voice held a question, and Jun took a breath, his eyes wide.

“I am happy that you want me to be happy, Masaki. I really am.” Jun paused. “But I will not give up a six year relationship because Sho decided that he likes me after all this time. I confessed once, and he made it clear that those feelings were very unwelcome.” Jun’s voice wavered. “I appreciate what you were trying to do, it is just-“ Jun heard his voice crack slightly, and Nino pulled the other close, poking at his side.

“No crying, Junnosuke.” He snapped and Jun glared at the shorted man, growling back.

“I am not crying.”  Nino just hmmed, turning his attention to Aiba with a small smile.

“We both thought that we were doing the right thing in pushing Sho towards Jun, but we never thought to ask Jun if he was seeing anyone. Or if there was anyone that he liked.” Nino’s words were simple, but Aiba’s eyes widened, his hands flying to his face, trying to hide his surprise. “We didn’t.” Aiba moaned, looking from one to the other, his eyes wiening further still.

“It isn’t Kazu, is it?” Aiba asked from behind his hands, his voice trembling, and both Nino and Jun reached forward to smack Aiba, Jun on the head and Nino on the shoulder.

“Moron. If it was me would I be pushing Sho towards him?” Nino snapped, and Aiba laughed sheepishly. “That would make me the crappiest boyfriend ever.”

“I guess not. I was just, when Riida said it this morning I was so surprised. And I wondered why Jun-tan had not told us. And I wondered if we didn’t mean enough to him to tell us and-“ Aiba stopped, sniffling slightly and Jun sighed.

“Masaki, it isn’t that. It is just, I cannot walk into out green room like you and Nino do, and announce that I got laid the night before, let alone with who. I have never been like that.”

Aiba nodded. “The more important it is to Jun the less he talks about it,” His words were soft, contemplative, and Jun nodded.

“Exactly. I never meant to hide it, and if anyone had asked, I would have told them, it is just, no one did, and I was not sure how to start, and I am sorry. I hope that you can forgive me. I-“ Jun stopped at the door to the green room was pushed open behind Aiba, with more force that was probably necessary, and the taller man went flying forward into Jun and Nino, knocking them to the ground in a tangle of limbs.

“What the hell!” and “Oi!” were what greeted Sho as he stepped into the room and looked sheepishly at the pile on the floor, though his expression grew to one of horror when he realized that he had shoved Nino and Jun to the ground with Aiba.

“That wasn’t necessary, Sho-chan.” Aiba grumbled, attempting to untablge himself from the pile of limbs and Sho laughed nervously. “The door seemed stuck. It didn’t move the first time I pushed on it and-“ He trailed off as Jun glared at him.

“You were listening to the conversation, weren’t you?” he asked and Sho paused, swallowing, and not meeting Jun’s gaze. Jun stared at Sho for a moment, and Aiba, whose eyes were wide. He shook his head, trying to confirm without actually says so, that he did not know that Sho had bren at the door. Jun sighed, nodding to Aiba before he scrambled to his feet, offering Nino a hand up. “Come on, Kazu. We still need to go get you lunch, my treat right?”

“Right.” Nino agreed, following Jun, leaving Aiba and Sho in the green room.

“Shooooooooooo” They heard Aiba whine. “Jun was going to tell me who he was dating and you ruined it!” They could hear the pouting in Aiba’s voice, and the anger, and Jun shook his head with a sigh, glad when he heard the door to the greenroom close. Now not everyone would know that Jun was dating someone. Rumors flew around the agency and that was the last thing Jun wanted, or needed. It would be bothersome to him, but more so to Ohno, who enjoyed his peace and privacy almost more so than Jun.

They passed Ohno on his way, and he just smiled fondly at the two, noting the way that Jun held Nino’s hand, not the other way around with a small narrowing of his eyes.

“Sho.” Was what Nino mouthed on the way by, and Ohno nodded, shuffling down the hall, his hands in his pockets. He would get the story from both later, for now, he would perhaps have to have a talk with Sho, and find out just what his intentions towards his Jun were.

Ohno did not have time to interrogate Sho after all, as Jun’s manager pulled Ohno aside outside of the green room to clarify some of the things about the apartment that Jun had asked about. Ohno was, of course, quite eager to clarify, as most of the questions pertained to either the extra room they wanted as an art studio for Ohno, or for the storage space, preferable outdoor to make Jun happy, for all of his fishing gear. An when that was done he they were ushered to the van to move to their next location for the day, and there was no way that they were going to have a conversation about the intentions that Sho had for Jun, so it had to wait.

After arrival they were all whisked off to hair and makeup, where the stylists admired Jun’s new wrist cuffs. He always came well dressed, and with good accessories, and it was rare that they needed to change his accessories out. It took a little but of prying, but they managed to get it out of him that it had been a gift from a friend. It all that he would say, but the answer has Sho shifting uncomfortably in his seat, pouting slightly.

As the photographer came in, checking the progress of the hair and makeup, and making sure that they had the proper feel for the shoot, his eyes stopped on Ohno, narrowing.

“Ohno-san, you need something else.” He looked around, smiling slightly. “Do you think you could borrow one of Matsumoto-san’s wrist cuffs. I think that it would be a nice balance for the shoot.”  His question was innocent enough, but Jun tensed, his eyes widening slightly.

“They were a gift, sir, I am not sure that he can lend them out like that.” It was Sho who spoke, and those who knew him well could hear the bitterness in his voice.

“Is that so?” The photographer sighed. “It would have been nice. Hmm…” He mumble, thinking ot himself.

“If Jun-kun wants to lend them to me, I think that it his choice to make.” Ohno’s voice was soft, and Jun looked to Ohno, biting his lip slightly before nodding, his hand already moving to unfasten one of the cuffs. Standing he walked over to Ohno, who sat on the chair, a small smile on his face, his eyes shining. He was very pleased.

“Here you go Riida.” Jun moved back to his chair, and he could see Sho sputtering in disbelief in his chair.

Why had Jun agreed to lend Ohno a gift from his special someone? I mean, it was Riida, an he never asked anything, but….

Jun could also see the way that Aiba straightened, his eyes lighting up, his mouth widening into a broad smile, and it was Nino who reached across from his chair, smacking Aiba on the shoulder. Jun could see the smile that tugged on his lips, and the words that were undoubtedly going to spill forth.

“Pay attention, you don’t want them to mess up your  makeup.” Nino chided an Aiba nodded, happiness and excitement radiating from his body. He caught Jun’s eye in the mirror, and Jun knew that they would be talking about it later. Jun was quite certain that he would be tackled to the ground. Smothered in Aiba's affection, and that the older would go on and on about how happy he was that Jun had someone, and that someone was Riida, and that Riida needed someone like to Jun to look after him and take care of him, and why didn't they till him before now? There would be tears, but there would be laughter. Jun was also sure that Aiba would try and apologize, again, for pushing Sho towards him, and destroying the beautiful that he was sure Jun and Riida has, even tough he doesn't know much about it, he is sure that it is wonderful, because it is Jun, and it is it Riida, and they are two of his favorite people, and he loves Arashi and -- Jun stopped that train of thought. There would most certainly be tears.

Jun caught Ohno's gaze, and he could see amusement there, and he wondered of Ohno was having the same inner monologue, of it he was just thinking about the fact that he had a claim to Jun, and it was going to be published as such. He always did stake his claim, when Jun wore the jewelry that Ohno had given him, but this was different, bigger. Ohno's eyes slid closed, a slight smile on his face as the stylist tried to get his hair to cooperate, and Jun continued his examination of the room through the mirror.

Glancing to Sho in the mirror Jun could see the confusion there, and knew that things were not yet connecting in the casters head. Which would make things difficult later. But for now, the smile that Ohno had given him when he handed him the cuff, and happiness and love that he had seen in his eyes, an the excitement of being in a photoshoot with Jun wearing a matched set of accessories was worth it. The magazine did not realize it, but they were helping to promote Ohno and Jun as an item, which made both of them quite happy.
