Look Out, Bitches, I'm Driving a Chariot

Apr 11, 2011 22:50

Hello people!

I got up at 8:00 this morning.

I got ready for school and dressed in a long, flowy skirt and a tank top! :D It was around 80 degrees all day today. I got my lunch together - cereal, crackers and cheese and an apple - and around 9:00, I headed out in dad's car. I went to apply for that job that I mentioned. It was in a place I've never driven before, so that was kinda fun for me.

Unfortunately, the job isn't what I thought it was. It says on craigslist that it was just a delivery job. When I talked to the guy about it, he explained that it's door-to-door sales, as well as delivery. I'm not cool with that. Door-to-door is not something I'll ever be comfortable doing. So, disappointed, I went on my way to school. I was there about an hour early, so I went to the cafeteria and ate my apple.

I read a chapter from my Fiction Writing class textbook, then, at 11:00, I went on to my Bones class. We just went through a lecture and talked about our upcoming Road Kill Project. Now, I think I mentioned this before, but we have to get some road kill and observe its decay over the course of a few weeks/a month. I was really hesitant about it, and I'm sure it'll suck during, but I'm actually kinda excited.

It's gonna be sort of fascinating, lol. :3 Anywho, I went back to the cafeteria at about 12:15 and had my lunch. I had to buy a little carton of milk for my cereal. Now, in high school and everything prior to that, those little cartons only cost about 35 cents. The one I got today? Cost $1.07. Fuck that, that's bullshit. I wanted to watch the last two eps of season one of House, but I forgot my headphones.

I couldn't hear a damn thing. So I decided to play piano music (well...The Sims soundtrack) while reading some short stories for Fiction Writing. At 2:00, I went to class. We took a very quick unanimous vote to have class outside today cuz it was so nice, and we all went out to a little rock formation thingy just outside the building. We all sat together and workshopped the stories we had to read.

It was a blast! :] There are a lot of damn fun people in that class. When it was over, I hiked to the car and drove on home. There was a letter waiting in the mailbox from the Creative Artists Agency. It was a rejection. They "don't accept unsolicited submissions." Just one thing: how am I to get an agent to represent me if I can't send them my work? I can't get representation if I don't already have it?

I mean, fuck. I knew that going in, but it's really a slap in the face when it actually happens. The world of TV is fucked up, let me tell you. I went up to my room and - wait for it - my laptop mouse broke. Fucking broke! It's not that old, I just got it for Christmas! FUCK! I was really pissed off, but I needed a mouse, so I drove down to Rite Aid to get a new one. It's huge and kinda clunky, but it does the trick.

When I got home, I was freaking hot. It was a tad humid, plus the upstairs was WAY hotter than downstairs. I turned on my fan and laid down for a while. Almost fell asleep, til teh rents called. At 6:00, I took Nick to work, and shortly after I got back, teh rents came home. I watched a little more House, then teh rents and I went into the kitchen to prep dinner and watch Jeopardy!. Good stuff.

Our dinner consisted of grilled chicken and cucumbers. Mmm, so summery. <3 We watched the new Drew Carey show, Improv-A-Ganza. It was EPIC. Super hilarious, and Ryan looks fucking adorable. >:] Title of this post is from it. There's a special ep of it on tomorrow night at 8:00, featuring Charlie "The Nutjob" Sheen. After that, we watched Chuck. I picked Nick up from work at 9:30.

When I got home, I took my shower - the rest of the fam has to take theirs tomorrow morning, so I figured I'd make it easier on everyone and just get mine done tonight. Now, I'm heading to bed. Me sleepy.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
