The little cartoon version of Cynthia at the beginning just cracks me up!

Cynthia Kereluk was the 1984 Miss Canada, had teeny parts in some movies, married a guy who was in Free and Bad Company (really?). But mostly she had a half-hour exercise show that ran for fifteen years (dang), EVERYDAY WORKOUT. I liked the show because (aside from her looks, let's be honest), Cynthia was just such a comforting presence. She chatted amiably about everything from being of Ukranian descent to gluten allergies to her pen pals in other countries. She was like a gorgeous female Mr Rogers. I always thought she would have been a wonderful grief counselor. And if you think about it, even if only a small percentage of viewers actually went through the exercises with her rather than just making a half-hearted effort for a few minutes, Cynthia most likely prevented a number of heart attacks. That's some time out of Purgatory right there.
That's about it. I have nothing bad to say about her (except maybe snickering about the way she demonstrated pelvic thrusts to strengthen the lower back, ha ha). As far as I know, she's still out there, saving endangered animals or something.
