After
his confrontation with Blodwen, Peter sleepily stumbled back into the Firehall.
"Honey, I'm home," he said before passing out from exhaustion, overexertion, and trauma from his experience.
Winston was first to hurry over, followed by Ray. He yelled over to Janine to call 911, and Dana to let her know.
"Pete, hey man, you ok?" He knelt down, and checked his friend's vitals.
Ray asked, "Is he all right? He was fine when he left." He frowned, and got out his PKE meter to run a quick scan. The numbers that came up didn't look promising.
He yelled upstairs, "Hey Egon! Come down here, please! Peter's back, and he fainted."
Their other friend hurried down the steps, "What is it, Ray?" The engineer wordlessly handed him the meter which he studied with a prominent frown. Especially after he made some adjustments.
"He didn't come in contact with the mood slime, did he? The numbers don't match up with it. There's a lot of overlaps though," Ray asked.
Egon said, "Faint residuals, probably from being in close proximity. No evidence of it on him. But these other numbers. Evidence of a highly charged psionic attack I think. How is he?"
Winston replied, "Minor shock possibly. Think we have to get him to the hospital?"
Ray remarked, "Probably good to at least check him out."
Janine came over to add, "They're sending Dr. Reynold over." The doctor was a friend of theirs, and had frequently checked them out for minor scrapes and incidents from busts.
There was no time, until much later to ask why Peter had left with a large bag of positively charged psycho-reactive slime in balloons of all things, and came back empty handed and weakened as such.
Or why he couldn't remember anything of it.
