Arriving In San Francisco

Getting off the bus at the Ferry Building, down by the bay, my next course of action was to try to find my hotel, which was somewhere inland, near Union Square.
Signs I'd seen in airports, particularly Chicago, had made me a little iffy about taxis, but I figured that trying to walk it would either get me lost or make me look like a tourist.
Then I saw the bicycle rickshaw people.
Turns out they're not just for tourist jaunts, but are a legitimate taxi service; How could I not take one?
So I took a cycle taxi to my hotel for $20, and chucked in a solid tip just for how entertaining the whole experience was. (Those things have a really tight turning circle - it's impressive just how manoeuvrable they are)

The Hotel Stratford seems fine; Has one of those fan + light things on the ceiling, and is clearly used to tourists, judging from the tear-off pad of maps at reception.
One of the cable-car routes runs down the street outside, and you'd better believe I'm riding that every chance I get.

My vague & not-so-vague plans for the three days I have here are;
Saturday: Visit Utilikilts, which will involve riding the BART
Sunday: A spot of tourism, hopefully involving renting a bike or something
Monday: Angel Island & Alcatraz tour (already booked)

The hotel has 'free' wifi, and when I connected up, my phone grabbed thirty-some messages and twenty-odd Facebook updates; Most of the FB stuff was shared posts, so I may have to work out how to hide just the 'share' posts before my phone melts. Or maybe divide them off into a different category?
