Not sure when my next post will be; There's no Internet access on the train, and I suspect bugger-all cellphone coverage, and I'm not sure how things work at the hotel in San Francisco. I may end up doing this portion on Starbucks wifi or similar.
(As a side note - the in-lobby cafe here 'proudly brews Starbucks coffee'. I had a decaf mocha, and while decaf is tricky, I wouldn't be 'proud' to serve that. 'Resigned', maybe, or 'required by contract')
Anyway, today's plan is breakfast, followed by a midmorning check-out and a relaxed wander to Union Station.
I went looking for the station yesterday, and did find one; It was just the wrong station.
They gave me directions, and I eventually found Union Station, and confirmed that it was, in fact, the right place.
Had a bit of a wander on the way back, and might have become lost, or at least turned around. Google Maps to the rescue!!
Even found Millennium Park, with the big chrome 'Cloud Gate' sculpture; Also a store which sold me a TSA Approved lock for my GenCon swag bag, with a little cable in place of the normal solid hasp, to make it easier to fit through the zippers, as they're not really designed for a lock.
