Oh shit - I posted my news everywhere but here! Whoopsies!!
Alright, here's the skinny. I turned my defensible draft into my committee yesterday, which means the ball is officially rolling towards the big defense. I plan on submitting a copy to the grad school next week and then things will really pick up speed. Currently looking at a defense date of May 11th... I'd hoped for the 4th but one committee member who hasn't said shit in over a year finally pipes up that that date isn't any good for me... bastardo!
At any rate, when I know the date and time I'll pass it along.. on the off chance that anyone wants to come and witness the public presentation.
I've done a lot of work this past week to get to this point and its rather surreal. There is still a lot more to do but I'm trying to take a break from it; recharge the batteries while I can.
In other news, I still have yet to hear from any of the other schools I applied to and am not seeing any good prospects come across the wire. This is makeing me more and more nervous as my lease is up in July and I know those dillsmacks won't give me any slight extension.
