Bert's Legal Advice
Bert, my roommate, is an attorney by profession. He has some advice for the attorneys representing the makers of Enzyte, the tablets for "All Natural Male Enhancement" who advertise on late night TV with the annoying commercials with "smiling bob" and the whistling song and the fairly obvious innuendo about penis size.
See, apparently lots of people were stupid enough to believe their bogus claims and buy the stuff and now there are a shit ton of lawsuits pending against them because it doesnt work.
Bert's advice to their legal team is to respond to all complaints with: "De Minimus"
That, of course, is the legal term meaning the claim in question is too small for the court to consider, and that it should be dismissed on those grounds. If the motion is successful, however, the complainant should be advised that he is still free to pursue the action in small claims court.
...Bert, by the way, thought this was extraordinarily subtle and clever and was chuckling about it for a good five minutes.
