Bert Says: "So I'm running the shuttle between the airport and the rental car lot, and I show up at the airport to pick up these three rather large african american women who say they are in town for Essence Festival*, and as they get into the shuttle I am overpowered by the strong smell of what is unmistakeably fried chicken. It was a huge struggle not to crack up laughing the whole way there."
*For you non-New Orleanians, Essence is a music festival of the top African American performers and primarily FOR African American audiences. It is sometimes referred to as "Black Jazzfest".
