Prompt 005- what is your most treasured memory
Peter thought about that moment when he first flew. Not flew with Nathan near him, but really flew of his own control. The exhilarating feeling of the air rushing under his body, the view of New York below him, the knowledge that he really truly could fly. After all the months of trying to prove to himself and to everyone else that he really could be something, could do something, as special as flying, he finally had the proof. He had learned to control the power he absorbed from his brother; he was learning to control the rest of the powers he had acquired over the months. That day was one of the most exciting and satisfying days of his life. He knew he couldn’t tell many people about his ability to fly; because of Nathan’s campaign, because of the mysterious men who had tried to kidnap Nathan and had kidnapped Matt and Ted, and because of Sylar. It still felt wonderful to know that he had been right, to know that he was special. That was his most treasured memory.
