#15

Dedicated: To lemmethink_nooo who wrote the brilliant William's Bakery. Which I must say I adore. And I'm going to keep with the dynamics that are seen in most Treckett fics.

Pairing: Travis/William

William was covered with spiderwebs and dust when someone entered the shop. He brushed his face and wandered to the front to sit down at the till. He had work to do there anyway.

Ten minutes later and there was a man standing in front of him. William saw the book in his hands and turned to face the till, without looking up at his face. When, finally, he does look up, his mouth opens to tell the man the price and stops.

Standing in front of him is a tall black man with an afro of sorts. It was pushed down under a baseball cap. His general apperance contrasted his book choice - a 2nd edition Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

William's open mouth turned to a smile and he looked away. He could feel the man lean over the till, but still didn't look up.

"Hey Travis!" William heard Gabe's voice from across the store and looked around the man to see the neon blur flying towards them. Gabe had been William's only worker for the past three years, and after two weeks, he hadn't wanted to look at another bright colour ever again. He watched Gabe wrap himself around Travis and sighed. If Gabe wanted Travis, he'd never get him. Travis carefully extracted the man's limbs from around him.

"Gabe, hi, dude," Travis said. He passed William the exact change for the book and smiled brightly at him. "There's a party at my place this saturday, Gabe." Travis had turned his back to William and William's shoulder shrugged. "Bring the quiet one." With that he left William and Gabe contemplating the party.

"You turned up!" Travis said after he pulled Gabe and William into his apartment. He was wearing less layers this time, but William could still not see his body as he was sure everyone could see his own.

"Of course we did." Gabe bounded past Travis, probably in search of alcohol. William let Travis shut the door and waited for a moment to introduce himself.

"I'm William, Gabe's boss. Um, you're Travis, right?" Travis laughed and put his hand around the other man's shoulders.

"Gabe has a boss?" William was led through the apartment to the kitchen by the taller man and he smiled blissfully against the weight on his shoulders. "Can we get you a beer? A cocktail?" It was William's turn to laugh, although he stopped himself after the snort.

"A b-beer," William stuttered. It was shoved into his hand seconds later, and one into Travis just after that.

"So, William, Will, Bill, Billy... you own the book store?" William nodded and removed himself from under Travis' arm to stand in front of the other man.

"Please god, never call me Billy ever, ever again." Travis chuckled and leant down a little to whisper in William's ear.

"As long as you'll call me god."

Travis and Gabe were sat in the book store waiting for William to return from his errands.

"So, you guys live together now?" Gabe was curled up on a chair watching Travis fiddle with the rings on his fingers.

"Well, we sleep in the same place. But William basically lives here, so..." Gabe laughed at his best friend and smiled a little brighter at him.

"You love him, don't you?" Neither of them had noticed the door open, and neither of them saw William standing at the door, staring at Travis.

"Yeah, yeah, I do."

A/N: Love me, love me do. Stayed up late to get this finished. Which was a bad idea as I have a nine 'o'clock class in the morning.
