[Sherlock flips his device on, studying it for only a moment before he registers the setting he's selected and its capabilities. He's outside near the woods, trees visible over his coat draped shoulders. He walks, turning now and then to check all angels.]Ah, vlogging. This will do ( Read more... )

Yes. You are right about being transported over time and space!

[ Say hello as a young girl appears on the screen. ]

It's called Wonderland. Kind of like the book, but a little different.

Right, any information you have that could be useful I'm open to hear at this time. Try to limit it to facts and not speculations.

[ She gives a mock salute. ]

Yes sir! The mansion is much bigger on the inside then it looks like on the outside. There are ten floors with an unknown number of rooms on each. Seriously, they go on and on! There's a dining room that gives you whatever food you can think of. The closets are the same way! Except with more things than just food. With me so far?

Yes, it's not exactly hard to keep up. Continue.

Okay good! Usually when I start telling people about Wonderland they just think I'm crazy.

[ She clears her throat. ]

No one knows how Wonderland picks who comes and who goes. It seems completely random. Time works differently here too. Like, if you do happen to leave you will go back to the moment in time that you were taken from. Also, you won't remember Wonderland if that happens! There are also "special" events that happen every so often. You can tell when they are coming because Wonderland characters -like the Cheshire Cat- usually will say something strange over the network!

Any questions yet?

Questions? Certainly. Far more questions then I currently have answers to and to which I suspect neither do you.

Carry on.

Hehe, you're probably right! But, you won't know that unless you actually ask me something.

The events normally last about..hmm, half a week? That would be about the average I think. They are all reaaally different too and sometimes they even change how the mansion looks. Like once it turned into a club and another time it was a school. They are usually great fun! Except for the, um, dangerous ones.

There's a mirror world here. That's where the Queen of Hearts is. She controls all the mirrorselves. They look like us! Except they act differently so you can usually tell them apart. Apparently they can see us through the mirrors, but we can't see them. In case you want to talk to them, you can write on the mirrors and one of them might answer. It's a good idea if you want to know more about that side of the mansion!

The Queen of Hearts? Someone else mentioned the Red Queen. Which is it?

She goes by both! the Red Queen is more of a nickname I think.

No. You've missed something. Something vital. She can't be both.

Umm, I'm pretty sure it's a nickname. Like how you would call someone named David, Dave!

And besides, I haven't heard of two queens.

Common misconception. The Queen of Hearts is the antagonist in the first book fashioned after the playing card by the same name. The Red Queen was from a chess board, antagonist of the second book. Two different characters with two very different personalities.

[ She thinks about it for a second. ]

I guess..that's right? If it is that means there are two powerful queens with nasty attitudes running around. [ That doesn't sound too pleasant. ]

No, the only way for that to be possible would be if not everyone was meeting the same Queen but thought they were. Over a hundred people living in the mansion... it is possible but no, there's only one Queen so where is the other one?

Maybe she is hiding and controlling everything from behind the scenes? But, then how do we know her name too?

[ She still thinks it's just a nickname. ]

You hear the word Wonderland and you immediately think of certain characters. Most people are more familiar with the first book and so when hearing Red Queen would incorrectly associate it with the Queen of Hearts. It only takes one person to confuse the issue for everyone in conversation.
