Woke up this morning and bummed around for a bit then headed to town and went to the Grizzly Wildlife park. It was a blast. Came back and the kids swam for a long while. Then we headed out to go back to the Grizzly Park so the kids could feed the bears. They were hilarious ( Read more... )

Drove to West Yellowstone today. Took an hour or so and saw beautiful country side. Pulled into the KOA and the kids played at the park and then went swimming at the indoor pool ( Read more... )

Woke up and cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast. It was terribly slow because the propane on the grill went out and I had to switch mid stream. Got in the car after much fighting and took showers at the central shower station. We pushed off and visited West Thumb Geyser Basin right on the lake. It was really quite a treat. Slept quite late. Laurie and the kids showered and started laundry while I slept. I got up and started getting all the camp picked up. Then I headed in to take a shower. The water was FREEZING. Slept until just before 8am. Everyone did the mad dash for the showers. We got to Jackson airport at about 9:30am to pick up the car. Ended up with a Ford Taurus that has leather interior, a sun roof and only 800 miles on it. Still smells brand new! SCORE!! Woke up early, but not too bad. Went up to the showers and WOW. The bath house on the hill was completely redone and looked like a five star lodge. This definitely bumped the value of this kampground up quite a few notches!!! Upon return went and checked out bike rentals. Came back and fixed the video camera so we could get some footage.
