Out of the office

The young man, thin and pale with a wild mop of dark hair, walks down the empty corridor. Sure that no one else is in sight, he adjusts his stoop until he is certain that it mirrors the one he's observed in some of his guests.

As he passes doors, he makes small motions with his hands: a push, a flick, a rotation, as if in time to music only he can hear. Obliging, the room behind the door he passes swaps places with its neighbor. No one is around to notice.

He approaches the turn of the corridor, where he hears voices; knowing he will encounter people, he stops moving rooms, shoves his hands into the pockets of his loose jeans.

He adds an expression of perplexity to his arsenal of imitation, and prepares himself for his performance.

[Say hello to The Master: essentially, the NPC in charge of this place. To your characters, he will appear to be nothing more or less than another L making his arrival; his imitation is perfect; he hides in plain sight -- so please treat him like a new L for the purposes of this post!. However, in future threads, he will be able to look like any "generically canon" DN character. Some of these forms will have their own arrival posts; others will not. Generally, go by the icon to see which one he is, but in case of any mistakes on my part, he won't ever use more than one persona in a given post.

Just to reiterate: it will not be possible for your character to "just know" he's other than he claims to be.]
