"Hello." He paused, taking a moment to collect himself. "Where am I, exactly?"

"Well, I was having a grand time in a stream, and it was very comfortable." L murmured, peering down at his toes and wriggling them.
"Enjoying life and awkward things like that. You do not seem surprised by my impromptu arrival."

"Viruses?" L peered at Matsuda with something between displeasure and surprise, finally settling on the blankness of acceptance. "I would very much like an explanation, Matsuda." He decided as he tugged his sleeve over a hand, rubbing at his wet toes grudgingly.

"Happy?" L smiled right back, a tight, quirky grin. "I guess I am happy. Are you happy, other me?" It was a difficult situation in which to find oneself, but making the best of it seemed like the best choice.

"Just call me Lawliet." L smiled in response, relaxing. It was hard to be wary of someone with such...pink hair. He himself had no reason to hide behind pseudonyms anymore, and the idea of embracing his true identity for once was tempting, now that he had nothing to be afraid of. "Have you always been so....pink."
