"Happy?" L smiled right back, a tight, quirky grin. "I guess I am happy. Are you happy, other me?" It was a difficult situation in which to find oneself, but making the best of it seemed like the best choice.

I'm glad that you are. Are you alright, though? Being here for the first time can always make a mess of things.

Oh, and... well, I'm assuming you know me, since I am you. But please, call me Pink. It's easier to distinguish with that. What should I call you?

"Just call me Lawliet." L smiled in response, relaxing. It was hard to be wary of someone with such...pink hair. He himself had no reason to hide behind pseudonyms anymore, and the idea of embracing his true identity for once was tempting, now that he had nothing to be afraid of. "Have you always been so....pink."

Lawliet. Mmm... Haven't heard that name in a long time.

(He chuckles, and shoves his hands in his pockets.)

"It's a good name." Lawliet murmured drolly, offering a bit of a grin before straightening, slouch apparent in his previous life almost non-existent.

"Perhaps, as time goes, my hair will turn blue." He teased, finding himself to be in better humor than he was a few minutes ago. This place didn't seem to be all that awful.

It is. It's my name too, actually, though I don't go by it out of habit.

That'd be great. All the other Ls here would cringe at the thought of colored hair. Heh.
