Story Or Series Title: Breaking Through
Fandom: Death Note
Culprit Author's Name:
Kit-Kat_Punk-lover Full Name (plus titles if any): Kaley Hotoku, codenamed Kiko
Full Species(es): angsty emo cutting Sue
Hair Color (include adjectives): "Her hair looked like sharp daggers that would make you bleed if you ran your hands through it."
Eye Color (include adjectives): "blood red orbs," "Pools of blood,"
Unusual Markings/Colorations: an "angel-like face."
Special Possessions (if any): expanders and peircings, scarred arms courtesy of all her cutting while listening to Linkin Park, a sketchbook for her "very intresting and dark" portraits of people
Annoying Origin: Her family has been killed and L takes her under his wing because the Sue is a genius after reading all the books in her local library in two years, which is enough, combined with never receiving any sort of education, to make her immediately outrank Near, something that amuses Mello instead of making him want to kill her, because he's in love with her. Or he's in love with Matt and just really wants the Sue as his own personal fangirl, I'm not sure which. There's something about vampires, I think maybe they were responsible for killing her family and are after her now, but with all the blood and inserted song lyrics and paragraphs of Matt and Mello and Near fawning over her, I can't tell what the hell is going on, and frankly, after going through twelve chapters, I don't want to research the matter anymore.
Annoying Connections To Canon Characters: Is under L's protection. Mello and Matt get into a fight over who gets to be her boyfriend; Matt wins and Mello becomes a cutter due to epic woe. Near compliments her drawings and plays with blocks with her, then decides even though his personality won't allow things to work, he might as well try to be her boyfriend as well.
Annoying Special Abilities: Is the first-ever non-annoying female member of Wammy's House! That's right, every girl ever brought has been an attention-demanding, loud, snobby, obnoxious bitch, and the current group are all "crude vultures" that are jealous of the Sue.
Other Annoying Traits: Good God! The blocks of song lyrics! Someone lobotomize me, now, please!
Please include a small sample of the worst of this story:
But being around other children…
It makes me sick just thinking about it.
I have never gotten along with kids my age. They were always turned off by my Dark brown hair that reached just to my shoulders. And my eyes, yes they were afraid of my eyes.
Most girls in the orphanage were snobby and annoying. They were loud and obnoxious, but this girl seemed quite the opposite. She wore dark skinny jeans that bunched up at the ends and an oversized black sweater. Her eyes were on the ground as she followed Matt through the corridors.
Kiko did not know of the rankings till a group of snotty, vicious vultures cornered her after she finished her dinner. "So you think you specail huh!" spat the rather crude leader of the pack. "You hink you can just march on in here and be 'The Best'" they then proceded to slam her agaist the wall. "You need to learn that your place around here" spat another one who was over-weight and had matted curly hair.
She didn't care about being "The Best" all she wanted was to be left alone.
"What cat got your tongue. Your such a freak! You haven't said one word since you got here! Why don't you just disappear!" She shoved her knee into Kiko's gut as she said this.
Yes that's what she wanted most in the world! To disapear would be a dream come true! And what did she mean by "don't speak" maybe she didn't have anything to say, not that they would listen.
Why would she waste her words on the pathetic people in this place who didn't even know her. Why can't they just mind their own buisness!
They punded their fists into her frail body. Blood dripped from her head, like a red tear. Her body was numb to pain so she didn't care but she did wonder why people would resort to such methods.
There's twenty-four chapters of this, with no end in sight, but the last update was in September, ending with someone finally getting around to asking about what happened to the Sue's family. Most chapters have Author's Notes making up more or equal to the amount of story content; chapters begin with the Suethor "talking" with fictional characters, and conclude with individually addressing each and every review.
