Elena's 3rd Birthday
Elena was old enough this year to express preference for cake (cherry cheesecake which she made herself) and candles (5 - one for each year completed, one to grow on and one for luck) enthusiasm for presents.

I believe we had 50 people at her party which started at 10am and ended around 3.
My list for the food made a few days ahead of time was: tofu scramble, cheese enchiladas, rice, black beans, biscuits, salad, bell peppers, vegan jack cheese, chips, salsa, green chili cornbread muffins, sugar snap peas, vegan carob walnut cookies, carob chip cookies, ginger icing, carrot cupcakes, avocado key lime pie, cheesecake, marshmallows and ice cream.
What we actually served was: cherry cheesecake, raspberry brownies, carrot cupcakes, jelly cookies, cheese enchiladas (3), black bean soup, turnip soup, guacamole, chips, bell peppers, biscuits, green chili cornbread muffins.
Water with apple, radish and fresh mint.
