Meet Jenks from the Rachel Morgan series, The Hollows.
Jenks is a pixie. He's about eighteen, looks anywhere from sixteen to twenty.
He is a runner, which is to say a supernatural crimebuster, who works with Rachel Morgan. He's very devoted to her because she's one of the few human-sized people to treat him like a person himself. His world is mainly populated with people who consider pixies as little better than accessories or pets.
He is capable of reading and writing. He understands some supernatural tongues. He can read auras, and can smell supernatural races out. He is personally familiar with what vampires, werewolves, elves, trolls, witches, demons, and trolls smell like.
He is a talented fighter and swordsman even though his sword is no bigger than a toothpick. The wings give him an advantage.
The only person he's more devoted to than Rachel is his wife, Matalina, mother of his fifty four children.
