My Dinner With the God of the Dead
We got the "heavy lifting" done on the Halloween stuff despite being "helped" by Laura, "look daddy I linked all these zip ties together for you."
We need to work on the electricity and stuff today after work. Monday we had dinner at Sarku (lord of the dead in Tekemul) and yesterday yummy meatloaf. Laura proclaimed that she didn't like eggs in meatloaf (I told her there has always been eggs in meatloaf) and she felt that there might not have been enough butter in it (there is no butter in Aimee's meatloaf).
We have to decide if were going to do the LARP in Feb up at Running Springs or just do it in the backyard. The site is fantastic, a 12 bed manor house with two livingrooms and a huge area of land around it (3 acres with a creek and trees). The place screams, "Do a LARP here!"
Were going up there anyway for our yearly, "Go to the snow weekend" and if were going to do a LARP we need to add days to our stay (2 days) so we still get "family time."
This of course means that the cost of the cabin creeps up and we can't bear the cost of the additional days alone......why can't I be rich so I can just rent the cabin forever??
