President Bush told supporters Tuesday in the conservative heart of Colorado that John Kerry cannot pay for the domestic programs he is proposing unless taxes are raised on the middle class.
This from the president who has engaged in the most extreme deficit spending this country has ever seen.
Perhaps Bush's attack on Kerry is causing you to wonder how he is going to pay for his domestic programs. Answer: by cutting taxes. You see, if you cut taxes, people will have more income that they'll have to pay taxes on. People end up paying less taxes. The government ends up collecting more revenue. It's really a win-win situation. This passes for logic in the Republican party.
