Yay for me!
Well, friends, the time has come. That's right. I am an officially licensed teacher in the state of West Virginia. I think that I will be the star of "Best Week Ever" on VH1. I found out on Wednesday that I was certified. I checked on the WV Department of Education's website, like I do every day. I expected it to say "pending" like it always does, but this time it said "certified" and listed my certifications also. It was seriously one of the happiest days of my life! Then, today, my certificate came in the mail. I think I am going to have it framed because that's how happy it makes me! I don't really have any other super exciting news. Thanks to all the Kristens and Kristins I know who are commenting in my live journal. Yay for you! Today's Buffet- still closed and renting out the building. It's very sad. I hate driving all the way over to the Wal-mizzle to eat Chinese. Oh, I almost forgot. The TARGET and BEST BUY opened in Morgantown this week. Also exciting.
It's been so long I feel that an update of what is going on in my life is necessary. I have just been working lots. I worked 50 hours last week because everyone and their brother at BK is sick. Ashley and Sherri also worked 50+ hours last week, so on Thursday night, we decided to go out together. After working 5:30 to 2 together, Sherri and I ventured to the Cave (Rock Cave) where Sherri lives. We got ready, and met Ashley and Tara (Ash's roommate) at CJ Maggies for dinner. I have not laughed so hard in a very long time. Then, we went to this place that Ashley's uncle owns with video gaming machines. So, we gambled. I only put $15 in, but I lost it all. Then Sherri turns to me and goes "Here Steph. Take this $10." So, I put it in, and I won $15 back. I was up to $30, but when I lost it all back down to $15, I decided to stop. So, technically, I broke even, and I lost $10 of Sherri's money. But Sherri said since she lost a lot more than my ten, it was ok. I paid for her cover at the bar though. We went to the THIRD DIMENSION! It was a good time. Cara, Dani and Nat came out to see me. Yay for them! It sucks that the weather so horrible, and I am sorry I didn't get to see all you Wesleyan kids. I will be in definitely for Spring Sing, and hopefully sometime before that. So, while Ash, Sherri, Tara and I are standing at the 3-dizzle, Ash turns me and says, let's go to Anmoore Steph. SHe wanted to "make some memories". So, off we went. I didn't not purchase anything, but it was definitely a fun time! The next time the three of go out, we are going somewhere up here in the MoTown. So, that's fairly exciting because the two of them are tons of fun! I went out with Cassandra and Kate last night. That was also a good time! Yay for De Lazy Lizard! I really think that's about it.
