(no subject)
Well, it's official. Tomorrow...er...today actually, I'm moving to Coldwater to live with Ben and help him run his business/job search in the area. Across the street from our apartment and Ben's office is a music studio where I will be giving lessons!!! Plus, I'm going to be working as a legal secretary for Ben for awhile, and it's likely that I will have a permanent sub position in the fall, if not an actual music teaching position!!! It's pretty exciting and I'm thrilled to be taking this next step in my journey. Starting a new chapter feels pretty damn good. Plus, I get to live with Ben and his doggie and my new doggie!!! :) Yes, I got a dog. I adopted her from the animal shelter and she is the sweetest little girl you'll ever meet. She does like to shit in her cage and occasionally roll around in it or eat it (ewwww...) but she curls up next to me on the sofa at night, loves to go outside, and gets along well with Rosco (Ben's dog). She is perfect...except for the whole shitting in her crate thing, but we're working on that. haha.
Also, I'm sorry if anyone is upset that you're finding out about this on livejournal instead of hearing it from me in conversation. Honestly, I didn't know how to tell some people, and I've been trying to tell some people for a few days now but it's mostly been a game of phone tag. Some people I really wanted to tell but didn't know how to tell them for various reasons. So, I am sorry. :( That apology sounds really weak and lame, but I assure you it's heartfelt.
I have this box of memories and I decided to go through it tonight to further procrastinate taking my boxes down from my room and I have SO MUCH great stuff in there. To name a few gems I found:

Ahhh memories. :)
It feels very strange to be moving away from home, but it feels right, too. Ben feels like home no matter where we are, and the dogs make the family seem even more complete. sounds cheesy, but it's so true. Nevertheless, moving out of my comfort zone is difficult, but I'm ready for the challenge.
Moving on in life doesn't mean moving on from friends and family, though. I'm not very good at keeping in touch with people, but I sure am going to try. For real, yo. I'm moving on from college, and moving on from my home in Dearborn, but not away from you guys. I'm sorry I've sucked and keeping in touch, but I'm trying to do better, and I'll try and keep it more consistent.
