I will remember this day forever. December 31st, 2007. It will always be the day that I got pulled over by a cop and given a ticket. I got a ticket for wreckless driving when I was like 17. But other than that I have had a clean record. And tonight, after dropping off Andrew, at that turn with "No Turn On Red." Much like many times when I leave Andrew's at a late hour I think about doing the turn, sometimes I stop, sometimes I decide to go for it. Tonight, I didn't think twice about it. I made the turn. And of course I get pulled over. To make matters worse, I found out that my car was supposed to be inspected last month, and I couldn't find my insurance card. I was given a warning for the last two, but I was given a ticket for the illegal turn. Unbelievable, but I guess it could be worse. This is the price I pay for being a good driver. I don't pay attention to the fact I don't know where my insurance card is, I'm never asked to get it. And since I got the car in May, I guess I didn't think twice about getting it inspected. So yeah, what a night. I guess it's never too late in the year for something to happen for the first time in your life.
And now for the yearly episode of the survey! 2007 edition
1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
I lived somewhere other than New Jersey for the first time ever. I was in England, Scotland, Wales, took a cruise in a place other than the Carribean. Sold lawn and garden equipment. Tried haggis, fried Mars bars, Strongbow Cider, so much basically in the time period of 15 weeks that was Wroxton.
2. Did you make/keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't join that bowling league, I DID have the time of my life in England. I didn't have a relationship, and I've done a very good job of cutting out soda and fast food for the most part. And I am very happy, so that is always good. Resolutions for 2008, get a job NOT in retail, GRADUATE, no driving tickets (ha, may as well), instead of wanting to find another relationship, i have to really try to learn to trust women and not be afraid of showing my emotions, if I like someone I want to ask them out. I don't want anything inside of me to stop me. And it seems to be a yearly thing, but I always want to be happier every year.
