This was supposed to be a cheery entry... but I got a call from mom a few minutes ago... She called to tell me that the father of good family friends of ours died. Some of you might know him. It was Frank and John Trimboli's dad. It just doesn't seem fair how such good people can be taken from the world decades before they should ever have to leave. Why do the lyrics "Only the good die young" ring so true? It's not fair. The Trimboli family is one of the nicest, most caring families I have ever met. I remember going to their house when I was little to jump on their giant trampoline or watching movies or playing street hockey with the boys or playing pool in their basement with the old old old grade school gang. Frank's dad would always be there to make sure things were ok and we didn't need anything or weren't killing ourselves. After a while, death becomes numbing. Once so many people die it just becomes some sick reality. You can only shed so many tears. I still look at Dave Jenning's picture next to my bed and wonder if maybe it was all a sick joke... even a year later. That he'll call Tom or I and be like COME TO CALIFORNIA...
Please keep the Trimboli family in your prayers. If you were friends with him and want to leave the family a message go to the obituaries page on DaytonDailyNews.com then click April 2nd and search for Trimboli. You can leave a message on the guest book there.
There's so much to catch up on... but I just don't feel like it rihgt now.
