"The tongue has the power of life and death. And those who love it will eat its fruit."
Proverbs 18:21
However you talk, whether it's full of complaining, cursing, immoral ideas, or filled with love, blessing or praise; that is what you will get in return. It is written that "those who can control the tongue can control every area of their lives." This is very true, speach is the most natural part of life that just rolls out wihtout much thinking or effort. Therefore, since it is so natural we must: "Let the peace of Chrsit rule in your heart, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. And in everything you do, whether in word or deed, do in the name of Jesus the Lord giving thanks to God the Father through him." Collossians 3:15,17.
If your are someone after Gods own heart and have the peace of Christ living within you, your tongue can and will be controlled and turned to perform the Will of God, such an amazing thing will produce countless blessings for yourself and for all those around you.
I was reflecting on my life this morning, looking at the areas of my life I consider imperfect and not worthy, being slightly frustrated that God has not changed those areas towards his Will. After I realized that frustration is a feeling from Satan along with the condemnation and the shame I was feeling about these areas I started seeing how God has worked in these areas, and what huge improvements they have been. How my heart has truly been won and my path started. I was "hit" by the revealing of the vast improvements and much thanking and worshiping ensued!
