Yikes...
So, over on tumblr I thought it was weird that some folks real-life ship Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe... And they're, frankly, a bit nuts about it.
Despite Sam apparently dating a girl named Abby and Caitriona possibly dating a guy named Tony, it still seems possible to discern solely through stalkerish close scrutiny of social media entries the ups and downs of Sam's and Cait's tumultuous relationship.
And, in addition, based on Sam recently being seen shopping in a high end kilt shop in Edinburgh, that he was there buying one for his own wedding to Caitriona at Christmas time....
Folks are completely flipping out happy about the supposed impending nuptials, like 'this is what I've always been hoping for' sort of giddy. Like they just got engaged to Jake Gyllenhaal or won a million dollar lottery prize sort of happy.
Does that sound normal? Anyone have experience with real-life shipping of series stars that went this overboard? It creeps me out a bit, especially since both Sam and Cait have said they work really hard at keeping their private lives to themselves.

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are both super nice lovely people. If they're dating, more power to them, but they've both said they want to keep their private lives to themselves. So, why would a fan then intentionally intrude on their privacy like this? It doesn't make sense to me...
