Why this must be read:
One of my favorite MacGeorge stories, balancing both angst and humor. MacLeod is attacked by a wolf and is left with a badly damaged leg on which he must lead Methos and Joe through miles of snow. Since reading it, I believe that replacing large amounts of body mass must take time and energy. It makes the lack of instant healing extremely plausible and therefore the “hurt immie” theme is belivable.
