Uninvited Guests with chloeas

The sound of loud knocking stirred him from his relatively peaceful slumber--something he didn't tend to get a lot of these days. Between long hours at Queen Industries and his nightly patrols as Green Arrow, he was lucky if he managed to get five solid hours of sleep. And most of the time those hours weren't spent in a peaceful resting state. ( Read more... )

The noise had woken her up, she frowned at the Chloe, they had been in bed for over three hours already, her first though was that it could be Clark, that something had happened, but Clark didn't knock and if he did, it was just a warning knock before he used his keys to the apartment.

She wrapped a robe around herself and walked towards the door, not turning any of the lights on, she frowned then they knocked loudly again and then heard Jimmy's voice, "Chloe?"She sighed and shook her head, "damnit."

"Seriously?" Oliver grumbled, rubbing a hand over his face again and trying to wake up a little. He rose to his feet and stood back a little.

When Chloe opened the door, Jimmy nearly fell into the apartment. "Hey, there you are." He grinned at her, his eyes glazed. "Bet you thought I wasn't coming."

"More like hoped you weren't," Oliver said under his breath, rolling his eyes, not impressed by Jimmy's inebriated state.

She looked over at Oliver then back at Jimmy, shaking her head, "did you drive here?" It had taken him about four hours to make the two hour drive and considering he could barely stand, Chloe didn't see how he could have made it there at all.

"I hitchhiked," he admitted with a grin, not noticing Oliver at all. "Had a drink or two too many. Didn't want to drive and risk it." He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Glad I'm here, right?"

Oliver looked up at the ceiling, shaking his head slightly, feeling a combination of annoyance and pity toward the other man.

She slept through the night, or the rest of the night anyway, Chloe hadn't realized how exhausted she was until she woke up the next morning, she expected it to be seven or eight, not almost eleven.

Chloe rubbed her face, her eyebrows raising when she felt something warm next to her, for a second, she was afraid it was Jimmy, but then she remembered it was Oliver and took a deep breath. Definitely better this way.

She turned her head a little to look at him, to see if he was still asleep.

Oliver felt someone shift beside him, and for a moment he froze, turning his head toward the person and opening his eyes sleepily. He relaxed when he saw Chloe beside him, and shut his eyes again, offering her a sleepy smile. He wasn't used to waking up in bed with someone next to him. Sure, he'd slept with plenty of women, but rarely ever did that involve actual sleeping.

Usually they left shortly after a good time.

"Morning," he murmured.

Chloe stretched and sighed, looking over at him then lifting her head to look over at the couch and grunting as she laid back down, "morning." She mumbled, closing her eyes again.

"He still here?" Oliver mumbled, rubbing a hand over his face, though he made no attempt to get up.

Chloe sighed and laid back down, glancing towards the bathroom, "I think that won't be necessary."

He glanced at her. "Going back to sleep on me?" he teased.

Yawning, she turned her head to look at him and smiled lazily, "and miss the walk of shame?" She said quietly, shaking her head, "I don't think so."

He arched an eyebrow and leaned over her a little, smirking. "Nothing shameful about it, Sidekick."

Oliver watched him go, then looked over at Chloe with a raised eyebrow. He sat up a little and stretched. "We didn't pack the coffee did we?"

She paused and gave him a look, smirking, "really? Who are you talking to?"

He smirked back at her and climbed out of bed, rubbing the back of his neck as he headed for the kitchen. "So moving day, Sidekick. How are you feeling about that?" he asked curiously as he set a pot of coffee to brew.

She rubbed her face, stretching slowly before getting up, "really glad I have a team of superheroes to help me drag my things back to Metropolis?"

Chloe frowned as he spoke and shook her head, "were they... meteor infected people from here or-?" She didn't know if Lex had transported the people down to South America or if there was something else going on.

"Some of them," he answered, standing completely still by the window. "Others had abilities like A.C. and Bart. Not the same abilities, but..." He was quiet for a moment. "Then some of them were just people with extraordinary genetic makeups." He was tense, as he always was when it came to discussing Lex Luthor and his pet projects.

She shook her head, sighing and rubbing a hand over her face, they had to stop Lex, and she knew Oliver's solution to that problem, but they couldn't kill him, that would make them just as awful as he is. "Are there any other facilities you know of?"

"They're scattered all over the globe, Chloe." His voice was quiet, distant. "Bart was doing recon at a facility in Asia yesterday."
