What were they thinking?

Wooo!

I loved this episode. I realized that I didn't really like the major plot development episodes. They weren't funny enough. Either that or I was really fixated on finding Barney/Robin because I expected that there would be some. Instead, in this episode, Barney checks her out. It was totally unexpected, it was totally tiny, and I can imagine NPH just ad-libbing it right there. And it got me.

But this was the first time in awhile that I've laughed out loud at HIMYM. I loved Marshall decoding poor Robin's stories, I loved Lily's decoding on the truth behind the woo! girls woos. And Ted. Fantastic.

LOL, the Sven. Pushups!

It's Coming

Heroes just shouldn't be allowed to make any pairings. Their best ones have been the ones they never intended: Daphne/Hiro, Matt/Mohinder, the incestuous Peter/Claire... The ones they've made on purpose (besides the ones required for certain people to be alive, like Arthur/Angela... Although that feels a great deal like a political marriage made for power...) have just been damaging to characters. Poor Elle. Poor Sylar. (Ok, how the f*ck did he get her power without ripping her head open? It's bad enough he belongs to a family of multi-power peeps, but now he doesn't even have to pay for it?) Poor Matt. Poor Daphne (who was starting to really grow on me... and then she struck the Matt-sized iceberg.)

And yay coincidental broken pipe? Proof that Peter has little in way of wits, but buckets in deux ex machina.

Why the hell is Claire the catalyst? That seems rather objectifying to me...

I'm going to see the Twilight movie this Friday. *glum* I haven't seen my friend in ages and she sent me some Facebook Event thing where she's inviting everyone to Twilight. The things I do for my friends...

tv, heroes, movies, himym
