Garden = awesome
We planted the flowers in the front yard today, after getting tired of waiting for the condo company to re-do the pavement. (They'll still do it eventually, but they'll just have to avoid the flowers... or else!)
We got three colours - white, yellow, and orange (24 of each) - and spent a little time coming up with cool-looking pixellated designs on a 6 x 12 grid. Some ideas thrown around were using a sudoku to get a randomly generated layout, tetris style, tesselations, or our initials, but we ended up going with something that kinda looks like fire, and is hence awesome. Some of the flowers are a bit worse for wear, but with all the good soil we put down, tons of water tonight, and a bright warm sunny day tomorrow, hopefully they'll be off to a good start.
Stephen has already planted peas and a rose bush in the back yard, and tomatoes and some more flowers are to follow. Yay! Can't wait to have yummy veggies from the garden!
