Life is good

Just had a delicious meal delivered by Swiss Chalet. It's Stephen's birthday today, and he didn't feel like cooking (especially since he's doing so much food prep for tomorrow) and Swiss Chalet is one of the places he can get food from without worrying about allergies. They have excellent info about every dish for almost every conceivable allergy on their website. Yay!

Also, I am made of win. I have classes on MWF from 1:30 - 2:20, and then tutorial on Fridays from 4:30 - 5:20. Yuck, eh? But at the beginning of class today, I asked if anyone had class from 2:30 - 3:20. No one did. So I just did the tutorial right away after the class (after a 5 min break) and everyone got to go home for the weekend 2 hours early! Also, I finished all the material I wanted to get to this week, which might have been kinda tight without the continuity of having them back-to-back. I'm going to try to do that every week. No one wants to be on campus on Friday until 5:20 in the summer!

Wedding planning is... going... sorta. We haven't done much lately except sort of decide where we're registering and sort of pick our dish pattern. A bunch of things to do in the next little while, and we'll get them done I'm sure. One thing I'm super-stoked about is my attire. I'm borrowing Kait's veil, wearing the necklace from Catherine's wedding, and the bracelet from Jenn's wedding. :) And the $30 shoes I found. Win! We haven't decided if Stephen is going to wear a tux or just his (very nice, and relatively new) suit. Any opinions?

After getting home from school today, I did a bunch of housework and baked a chocolate cake for Stephen. It's sitting on the kitchen table calling to me now... *drool*

Sooooo excited for the long weekend! Maybe I'll make some headway on some wedding tasks, and finish up a cross-stitch that I didn't have any time at all to work on last term because it was so insanely busy. It's *almost* done.

Oooh, random other thing. I volunteered for the math phone-a-thon on Wednesday, which is where faculty (and some grad/undergrad students sometimes) call everyone who received an offer of admission to UW and ask if they have any questions, if they've decided where they're going, etc. It was pretty neat. They match people up well, so I had a huge stack of girls who had applied to ActSci. The ones that I got through to were really sweet, and lots of them were super-excited. One of the moms I talked to had actually looked up 'actuary' on YouTube and found my videos, so she was really excited to talk to me. :) It was fun, and I got a good meal out of it too, between shifts.

That's it for now, Stephen and Alex are just about to finish a game of Madden.
