I wrote my Government Term Paper on this as well. I'm happy to hear they stopped funding the programs! YAY! ACLU I LOVE YOU!

Yeah, wonder why teen pregnency is so high? Because of Abstinence programs. The government wouldn't know irony if it bit them.

So i say we start a new program where we start handing out condoms and birthcontrol right when the kids hit birthcontrol.

and then tell them how amazing sex can be but HEY! this is what happens when you fuck up and aren't careful! BABIES! HERPES! AIDS! DEATH!

"hit Puberty**"
Not like that- but the idea behind a comprehensive sex ed program is to present all the options and information (including that abstinence is the only 100% safe option)- instead of telling someone how or what they should think... teens having sex is an issue between thier parents and themselves- and not a matter of education.
Its equivalent to saying: the only way for women to protect themselves for sexual assalt is to stay at home, or you can try carrying mace"... or "To protect yourself from sexual assalt, you should stay indoors late at night, or you can carry a gun, or you can take matial arts training, carry mace, make sure you watch your open drink...."
Abstinence only isn't educating- its preaching of a sort
