Opals for Autism
So randomly I started this project that is making me feel really good lately. Here is a simple breakdown of how it happened:
Discovered this cool steam-punk ring>googled boulder matrix opals>found Opal Auctions>bought opals to make necklaces for profit>decided to donate some of the profit I make to Autism research>created Opals for Autism.
Obviously the website is still needing to be created, but I'm working on that right now. I did some research and decided to receive my hosting from Host Papa . So far so good. The price was right ;) That and there supposed green hosting was an added touch.
This project is a huge deal to me because autism is a very personal issue with me. If some of you might recall I had seriously considered getting a degree in art therapy to work with autistic children. I've worked with autistic kids in the past and a friend of mine has 2 autistic kids. The possibility that children could be born with autism is a very real reality these days and I want to do everything I can to help those in need and find out what is causing this rise in autistic children.
