OK, here's a REAL update for you darlings. :-)

Instead of one of my rediculous random musings. LOL

Yesterday Aunt Roberta's surgery went well. Thanks to everyone for prayers and rituals and kind wishes. She's actually in rather good spirits, especially for her. She's looking forward to being a great aunt to the Weasley dog - she laughed out loud when I told her about those intentions.

Went to the city last night, had dinner with Dalia, an old friend from my NFTY (Jewish Youth Group) days, as well as a few of her friends. Amber, who was in the city for a conference and meeting me to come back to our apartment, came and joined us. Amber, I never asked - did you enjoy the 7-layer cake? It wasn't the best 7-layer cake I've ever eaten, but decent nonetheless. Kosher restaurants rarely get them just right, mainly because they're not adding any dairy to the batter. Someday I'll take you to the bakery by Uncle Adam's house where the 7-layer cake is Truly Lovely. Anyways, it was great to see Dalia - the last time I saw her was FIVE YEARS AGO! In that time, we've both gotten engaged (or married, in my case), and she's become a rabbinical student. She's heading back to Israel to finish her first year at HUC next week, and she's off to the LA campus of HUC in the Fall. That campus has a great educational program, in addition to the Rabbinical seminary. Evi - we ate at Mr. Broadway's and I thought of you and Laurie the WHOLE time! LOL

Amber and I went back to my apartment via the LIRR after dinner. I hope you enjoyed your first train ride! When you come down to see us in Wilmington, if you ever want to travel quickly, I REALLY suggest the Acela (Amtrak's Super Fast Train). We had an incredibly interesting conversation, which I'd like to be able to continue sometime. We took her back to JFK today, and she called me to tell me that she'd arrived safely back in Rochester. I'm impressed that we got Amber to the airport and ourselves to work on time. Truly fantastic.

So I'm at work today (temp job, which is rather nice), got my weight watchers meeting tonight. Last week, I FINALLY broke 160 again, and made 158.8. That was great. However, with the amount of Alcohol I've consumed since then (celebratory, not self-medication), it is entirely possible that I'll be back up to 160 this week. ::sigh:: After the meeting, gotta go to the station and do commercials. Also, must chat with Ed about getting my demo together so that I can, oh, I dunno, Get a Job in Delaware?

Speaking of Delaware, no word yet on when we're actually going. Next month, that's all I can say, folks. Next Month. But it'll be great - I KNOW IT!

Saturday afternoon will be meeting up with Miriam in the city, then having dinner and Rockapella with Amy Nichols and The Pella Crew.

Will try to write more tomorrow night, I know I never finished the honeymoon write up, and I'm sorry.
