a little bit finished (also meant in the mortal combat way)

well I just finished my presentation for Helen Fielding's Phenomenology Seminar. it was quite silly since I wrote a too long (read incredibly lenghthy) script. we only have 25 mins max each to do our thing due to various reasons and wrote 20 pages....sigh, I must have been inhabiting a convincing fantasy when preparing it, that if I just read fast enough then, well I dont know. anyway, it was not such a bad thing, I just stopped reading half way through and stepped up to the backboard and sketched out the rest with a disorganized and imprecise authority which, due to being so immersed in Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Sarah Ahmed for the past month, it kind of worked out in a kind of slavageable train wreck kind of way. I think that the fact of my having a pretty weird and potentially interesting use of the body schema, body image, object body in regards to the digital embodiment of avatar users and Ahmed's "queer furniture." Her recent book, which I have loved, "Queer Phenomenology" has been instrumental and fun to read as well (unusual). a great outcome of me pouring the ocean into a shot glass, is that I have already written the bulk of the final paper for the class. I have two more presentations for Micheal Gardnier's "Boredom" seminar. I have promised myself no more than an ounce of ideas for the two remaining glasses.
