when did my knee start twitching?

i just had a long chat with my step mom about college.
i have a very difficult decision to make.
i have two options:
option 1) i live in a dorm at the uw, and my parents pay whatever is left over of tuition after grants and scholarships.
option 2) i live in an apartment with a roommate or two, have complete independence from my parents, pay rent and all my loans after i graduate, my parents send me $200 a month and they pay my car insurance. my parents would also help me furnish my apartment to make it 'livable.'
what would you do?
