I'm back in Tokyo now and I can't stop smiling. Returning to my city never fails to bring a grin to my face; I truly love this place. Jumped back into everything right away- there's a lot to do before June 4th. But first, more Hokkaido:

The food. Hokkaido natives are known for eating well and having access to awesome produce, meat, and especially dairy. Aside from walking lonely beaches, I've been busy stuffing my face with some of the northern goodness.

With the nuclear situation uncertain and me in my delicate condition, Soi was pretty freaked out. His mom lives in Fukushima too, and although she's outside the contamination zone, concerns about water, food/gas shortages, and the general mess the area was left in prompted him to contact his dad's family up in Hokkaido to see if we could crash ( Read more... )
