So that was a relatively positive experience today with the nice man with the kind smile. He said my "case" was not something he has ever really dealt with. I guess I'm not your average case over there at CAMH. Over the course of 2.5 hours I tried to accurately describe what I had been up to, why I had been up to it, how it had been effecting my ( Read more... )

i agree with Q on this.

liveing your life out loud is something i endorse whole heartedly. though it does come with the drawbacks of people misinterpreting what is said or just useing it as a excuse to continue attacks. the non-freinds your hopeing check in and see progress wont.

while blunt honesty is sometimes required, blunt "honesty" is often the excuse of judgement. there is this wonderful thing called tact, and most people that use the "im just being honest" card dont have it. (or sympathy, compasion, care, love, or quite frankly any of the positive things that lets a human being rise above the comman animal)

you also have to concider, that really right now you need suport; not people that will make you question, and you are not doing this for them, your doing it for yourself. their aproval is not required.

i found posting things to a limited group of people, hand selected by you as suporters works best. it will reinforce those first trembling steps much better. and ive even found that just makeing the post PVT and getting shit off your chest is best.

dont be afraid to disalow comments, dont be afraid of deleteing comments either. though personaly i like locking out posts to PVT after people have shot off and denying people the advantage of editing what they have said. you end up with this wonderful colection of moments in time that you can easily go back to and quote. *wry grin* it also gives you a better track of where you are and where youve been.

and personaly, i think liveing out loud in F2F is better. it makes people have to deal with the situation directly.
