Weird week is done. Hopefully this one will be less eventful.
My girlfriend's mom decided to have a heart attack Wednesday evening. This didn't lend itself to a happy mental state for April. I spent the last several days convincing and de-guilting her about cancelling our plans to go to PAX next weekend to enable her to spend the week at her parents. In the end I think I succeeded.
On the lighter side of things, we found out that humans can transmit the flu to ferrets. We gave the plague we've both been suffering from to five out of six of ours. A ferret sneezing fit is simultaneously one of the funniest and saddest things you will ever see. On the plus side, now that they've recovered, play time has been epic. Between the vitamin/calorie supplements and the shortened play times earlier in the week, they have some truly impressive ridiculousness reserves.
And we bought Molly a pretty pretty princess harness. Partially because it was cute and on sale. Mostly because she is the best ferret ever.* Expect pictures come spring time.
* our friend's ferret Atay is actually the best ferret ever, but being the nice old lady that she is, she's willing to let Miss Molly have the title instead.
