Well, we had a busy weekend...
Saturday we went to Swingfest at Coolidge Park. We met up with Sumit there. I hadn't seen him in years and it was nice to catch up. I also met his friends, Matt and Erin. Erin, it turns out, went to Sunday school with me in the era of the dreaded Nelson Haynes. Turns out I wasn't the only one who had my parents called by that drama queen. We figured he might have just gone down the list. :) After we got back, we went over to the neighbors' house to watch the Bama game. They're from Alabama just like PA, so it's nice to have some folks on our side here in Vol country.
Sunday, we went to the lake with our little family. We had a lot of fun.
Then, on Monday, Mom took me and the kids down to Chester Frost Park. They've put in a playground down there. Slides, sand, and water...it's the kid fun trifecta. They had so much fun. Little man starting holding his breath and jumping in. I'm so proud. I'm letting him go at his own pace. No Gestapo swimming lessons like I had to deal with as a child. After loooong naps and PA's return from work, we went out to Renaissance Park. We hadn't been out there before and it was pretty cool. There's a huge, grassy hill there and little man rolled down it over and over again. He said, "The erf is spinning around and around me." He's such a good sport because he'll jump up and try to run while he's still dizzy. Hilarious!
