-Finally got the application for the coveted kindergarten turned in. *sigh of relief* That's been a huge stress on me for months. Now there's nothing more I can do but wait for the letter in December.
-Little man read his first book last Saturday. All thirty pages. I'm proud and excited for him. I keep telling him that once he can read, he'll be able to learn about anything.
-Little sister finally got the hang of pedaling the tricycle. She spent hours going round and round at the park, refusing to stop even to play on the playground. She's close to being tall enough to start learning to ride a bike. I can hardly wait!
-They never stop eating. I made bacon, eggs, and blueberry waffles for breakfast yesterday. They ate two or three helpings each. PA and I were fighting them just to have enough for ourselves. Ten minutes after the plates are cleared, little girl turns to me and says, "I can have sammiches now?"
-I've been ordered back to Walmart b/c of the state of our grocery bill. (It's bigger than our mortgage.) After only four trips to Wally World since the New year, I went today. They've moved everything around and it's just so big. Of course, I ran into someone I know, b/c it wouldn't be Walmart if I didn't. I took a list of all the things we buy most often and wrote down the prices so I could compare them to Food Lion. I don't expect F.L. to do well at all.
-Because of all the eating and exercising, our little monkeys are growing like weeds. She is only four inches shorter than he is, despite being two years younger. She's lost the toddler belly :( and is all leg. I had to buy shoes for them yesterday as the weather has gotten a bit too cold for sandals. He's in a 13! and she's sporting a 9 wide! It really took us hours to find her size. Hopefully, these will last for a while, but I'm not counting on it. Can I get a loan to feed and clothe my kids? ;)
-We went to Pump It Up for a birthday party on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. I am curious about how much it costs, though, as parents keep alluding to the expense. Just googled it...Ouch! $200-350. I don't think I like my kids that much. ;)
-We went to Ketner's Mill, yesterday. It totally wore the kids out, but it was fun.
-I finally convinced PA to make an appointment for a sleep apnea test. I told him that even if he doesn't have it (i'm sure he does), I at least want him to hear a recording of the snoring I am subjected to. It sound like someone slowly choking a badger to death. Maybe he'll get one of those machines and we'll both get some sleep.
love,
kids
