I've spent a good part of this evening reading over some of my old LJ posts.. and this quote totally leapt out and needed to be reposted. I LOLed.
It's on the subject of Porn Abuse and my feelings on how damaging it can be to someone's sense of healthy ideals.
I can't imagine how hurt most guys would be if they found a secret stash of bookmarked URL's on their girlfriend's computer of "Guys who are independently wealthy and have 8" long thick cocks and never fart" and "Thousands of hairless young Ever-Hard studs waiting for you who never need reassurance and ALREADY have a mommy and their very own tidy apartment."
Good god - I'm a horrible woman sometimes.
But you love me anyway.
(And to be fair - I'm saying that unrealistic expectations are just that - completely unrealistic and unattainable. And yet we dangle that carrot in front of ourselves routinely when we allow (standard) porn to mold our image of what sexual relationships are truly like.)
