The weather is a little bit better now. I like it. And I notice that some things in my life are just as they seem: funny nonsense. Last sunday we went rehearsing, and we end up playing a hard rock version of the arcade theme from a 80's Barbie videogame. It was one of the most stupid and useless videogames I've ever seen -there weren't aliens, zombies, weapons, explosions, nazis, pointless violence... all the good things that make videogames what they are: a digital substitute of our utopias, the parallel realities where we'd like to dwell. I'm not that fond of videogames, but I must admit that I'd really love to pimp around with a machine gun, and do my dirty job, and eventually gain special points to morph into a monster with boundless powers. Rehearsals were pretty satisfying, but.... playing heavy riffs on the arcade theme of a Barbie videogame is sick, and twisted. The only thing that still links me to sanity is to create geometric patterns on the tapis-roulant at the supermarket's cash, using the items I'm buying. I love that.
