mmm, nice session of rehearsals yesterday evening... after about one month, we were able to enter our new rehearsal studio and start playing... and some good news welcomed me. The keyboardist A bought a new laptop, definitely one of the coolest and most-updated machines you can find nowadays, and this is a very important thing, considering that we're using it for the pre-production of the album. So: more gigas/more RAM/better processor/wider screen = less shit.
The guitarist M also informed that he's completely changed his job routines, and now he's going to work just 10/15 days per month, leaving us a lot of time to play together and carry on our dirty work -it happens that he works from 3 p.m. to midnight, a routine completely opposite to anybody else's. Moreover, we worked very well, even if it was 5 months (!!) that we didn't pick up our gear, we weren't as bad as I feared, we immediately summoned that awesome mixture of antics, technology and odd rhythms (and eventually, a little bit of professionality) that is our trademark. Why do I say odd rhythms? Er... let's just say that, in this new song, we have a guitar riff that starts as a 17/16, then goes along like a 4/4, and finally ends as a 7/8. Did someone say "cerebral music"?!?
And, about my other band PK9, it seems that a Japanese label will release a split work between us and
Corpoparassita (a cool dark ambient project), maybe as a 7". As per usual, I won't believe it until I'll have the bloody thing in my very hands. But it all sounds like a nice perspective...
