Aaaarrghhh... I know I know, I should seriously think about updating this journal more often, I am realizing it's more than a month that I'm not updating my livejournal. The funny thing is that, there has been plenty of interesting things to mention. For example, the great gig we played two weeks ago with
Northgate (and many other interesting bands...) in an abandoned factory, in the middle of fucking nowhere, where any attempt of horizon was frustrated by a dense fog... the whole place itself seemed so surreal, that I could honestly say it was fake. The area of the factory was vast, with some abandoned buildings completely destroyed by fire; and, among all the debris, there were still the ancient machineries inside, completely blackened by fire. There was a strange silence, and every perspective always gave me a sense of deep emptiness. There were huge courtyards, completely empty. There was a tall building, completely empty in the inside, you could see the roof from the ground floor (I wonder where the stories went...). I never regret not having a digital camera like that moment: I am a horrible photographer, but that place was enchanting. It was freezing cold, and the fog increased the uncomfortable sense of humidity. I didn't think someone could show up for the gig, that place was really godforsaken. But more than 100 people came, making it an exciting event, and our best concert so far. Infinite thanks to my beloved
lucylle for the cool animation she prepared, and to
wonder_zed for carrying that bloody screen all the way from Bergamo... we will remember you when we'll be rich and famous... :-)
Northgate were particularly interesting, that night's line up also included C from Runes Order at keyboards, and the drummer of Larsen; their performance was great, they also played cover songs from Coil and Kate Bush (!). I am glad to notice that they have all been wonderful people, really nice, humble and outgoing. Of course I am also referring to the guys from the other bands, Corpoparassita, Mariae Nascenti and Wertham (his show was awesome! Rarely seen something that violent and sickening).
For the rest, I am constantly passing my time just studying and studying and studying... I have two exams in the first two weeks of february (museology and restoring), but I am already looking forward to the june session, when I'd suppose to do the exams of modern history and methodology of artistic research. So, mind me if I'm not so determined in passing even more time in front of a pc (to type pointless memories on a lj) in the (very) rare moments of peace and spare time.
And, speaking of pointless stuff...
funny note: some people could state that I actually am a necromancer...
edit: today was my mother's birthday: thank god this year my father didn't forget it, and even managed to give her a cool present (a pair of Armani sunglasses)... ;-p
