Ian Curtis... the master of music...
Tonight I am going to the Australian premier of the Ian Curtis biopic - Control...
SOOOO Excited, I love Joy Division... I'm not sure how hard these tickets are to get, but my friend got them and invited me :) Very thoughtful :) And I will be very chuffed to see it before anyone else :) YAY!
I read the book that it is based on written by his wife "Touching From A Distance" many years ago.
27 years dead, and only 23 years on this mortal coil, and that man is still, in my eyes a musical genuis, some people produce music, some people feel and live it, therefore become it, Ian Curtis is one of the latter in my humble oppinion.
He hung himself on the 18th of May 1980. He was only 23 years old.
I saw New Order, on the 20th anniversary of Ian Curtis's death in London, the concert was a tribute to him, and they only played Joy division songs, it was amazing, but of course, not the same as with his voice.
