so, principal sound design and production efforts on Colonial Radio's full-cast audio rendition of Jules Verne's classic book 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea is complete.
Spread over two acts and somewhere around 160 - 170 minutes, the undersea adventure was a delight to put together- another favoured universe I've been allowed to put my artistic thumbs to. Thanks, Jerry, for letting me get my feet wet with Captain Nemo and the Nautilus.
Now comes the individual scene edits to tighten up the production, and a final mixdown to master file. Within another month we'll be able to send the final product off to our distributors for this year's Holiday release.
After this, I'll be going back to the French & Indian War. Our original miniseries TICONDEROGA we've decided to continue, but this time as a full series. Episode 1 - Crown Point is being written right now by Jerry's postings on the Book of Face.
This year's been light in terms of different productions, but the need for private time off for certain Life Concerns has been a necessary thing. Next year may end up busier. Who knows. Still, I'm pleased with what I've done in 2014. Here's hoping more classic tales come up to the plate.
