I can't believe we had to start so early. It seems as if all the people I know (who don't go to my school, obviously) aren't starting school until September. Though I suppose I can't complain since my school also lets out earlier than a lot of others. But still. Ugh. School. So here's a run-down of my WONDERFUL day.
AP Chemistry - This actually wasn't that bad. We lit the floor on fire =D Only it's going to be a buttload of work. My teacher said that we'd practically have homework every night. I am not looking forward to that, lol.
French III - Okay, so my normal teacher is out this week recovering from surgery. So we had this absolutely insane French sub. Seriously. She made us introduce ourselves to everyone in the class at least five times (regardless of the fact that we all know each other) and kept making growling noises like a tiger. And then she got my name wrong. My French name is Aurelie, and she was seriously pronounced it like "Oh really?" I wanted to die, lol.
Teacher's Aid!!! - This is basically a dummy period, lol. I learned how to make copies using a big copier. And I got to clean out old lab equipment. Fun.
Speech - You have no idea how much I'm dreading this class. It is going to SUCK. Luckily, there are only fourteen kids in my class, so it'll be easier. I dunno, it's just easier when there are less people, in my opinion. But our first speech is Friday. I'm so nervous D= Even though this is the easiest speech ever, lol. You just talk about yourself.
AP Literature - This class looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun. Mainly because I like the kids in my class, and I like literature. Plus we get to read actual good books this year, like Beowulf, Oedipus, Shakespeare, Dickens, Frankenstein...classic stuff. None of this The Adventures of Tom Sawyer crap.
Religion - Kill me now. Our teacher - nicest man in the world that he is - is a HORRIBLE teacher. All we did today was go around the room and have him question us about what sports we do, what our favorite subject is, what/where we wanna do in university...when I said that I'd like to go to Japan and be an English teacher and he asked what city, I said Sapporo, Kyoto, Okinawa, something that was a city, but not as big as Tokyo. And he was like "HOT DAMN, I didn't even know of any city in Japan but Tokyo and Nagasaki and Hiroshima!" It was the biggest facepalm moment ever.
Government - I swear, this teacher is the funniest man on earth. Because he says all of these random things with a totally straight face. The Student Activity Center (like where all the staplers and hole punchers are), he refers to as the SAC XD So he said that whenever we need something, to go to his SAC. Seriously. I burst out laughing. But I actually have to work this year because it seems he only gives out 20 A's a semester, and I want one of those A's, lol.
And then, as if that were not enough, after school at practice we had to run a fartleck. Yes. That's right. A fartleck. Apparently, it's German, haha. But it's where you run fast and hard for like two minutes, then jog for two minutes and then repeat it. I had to do that seven times. Not including the one mile warm-up and the one mile cool-down. And then we did ab/hip routines for twenty minutes. And my sunburn from Saturday started to blister. So all in all, this day could've been much much better, haha.
Only like...75 days until Christmas Break. Woot.
random,
school
